Benta is a free local marketplace for Slough and nearby. It’s one friendly place where neighbours can buy, sell, rent and share, with no fees, no middlemen and no need to hand out a phone number to a stranger.

Our mission

We believe the best deals are often just around the corner. A sofa that someone no longer needs, a spare room, a trusted local cleaner or a weekend class can all make life easier and cheaper for people nearby. Benta exists to connect them, simply and safely, and to keep money and goods moving within the local community.

How we keep Benta safe

• New ads are checked for wording that breaks our rules, such as asking for offers on rent or excluding renters unfairly.
• Every listing has a “Report this ad” button, and our team reviews reports and removes ads that break the rules.
• Photos are cleaned before upload, removing hidden data such as the location where they were taken.
• Limits on new accounts, ads and messages help stop spam and scams.
